Hiking the 46 Adirondack High Peaks
The Man Who Hated Heights but Loved Mountains
Introduction
Hi. My name is Eric. I love being in the great outdoors—especially the Adirondack Mountains. For most of my adult life, they were not very far from home. In spite of the fact that I have a fear of heights, I became an Adirondack 46er who’s climbed to the tops of these mountains’ High Peaks. I’ve detailed my adventures on these mountains on this website. I hope it inspires others to get out there, and challenge themselves but, most of all, to enjoy the adventures that can be found in the mountains.
The Hikes
These are the hikes that I’ve done listed in chronological order, with links to descriptions of each hike. The organization shows how my hikes of these peaks evolved. My hiking companions’ first names and images are provided with their permission. Some personal places intentionally lack specific detail.
The Mountains
This is a more mountain-centric focus of the 46 High Peaks. It provides access to the same write-ups of my hikes, but is organized by mountain name, for those more interested in reading about specific mountains.
